Sissy Boys

by Erica Hughes - Libra

What happened to all the real men?
The ones on the buses,
who give their seats to women and small kids?
the ones not in the grocery store buyin shampoo w/conditioner,
who are these men, too prissy to know how to kiss ya?

Where in the hell are all the real men?
not hiding behind white collars and neck ties,
rushin to get home and hang with his buddies and act immature,
not sittin' in the nail shop occupying a seat I could be
usin to get a pedicure?

What happened to the real men?
The ones who don't need a cell phone, a lap top,
or to survive dozens of electrical toys?
Where are all the real men?
who are these sissy boys?

I'm ashamed,
where are the men,
like our grandfathers?
Where are the men who can fix a flat tire?
Where are the men who don't have to hire,
a plumber, because he can't fix his pipes?
Where are the real men who don't need viagra
to entertain his wife?

Where are all the real men,
who don't need to hide behind his money,
and electrical toys. . .
who enjoys. . .
who stole all the real men. . .
and replaced them with boys?

Reason for writing:

    ya feel me?
