Your Death, My Murder

by barnswallow - Capricorn

I envy you partners of your own destruction
sharpening the blade...
dancing and laughing and boldly
scolding the life ebbing from your veins;
outrageous Hero's
starcrossed Christs
witches and bitches and godless gadflies
your victory is your defiant death
my surrender earns
your righteous ridicule.

We meet later in heaven or hell
too busy being dead to draw neat distinctions,
too dead to remember just who killed who:
my victimization; your plan of action
an eternity of forgetfulness
our endless satisfaction.
