How can a mother express the way she feels? She holds her child, stares at her child, she loves her child. One single moment of passion has given her all this. One single moment has turned her world upside down. The parties, the craziness has come to an end. I used to feel free and wild, to do what I please. Now I have long nights of tummy aches and teething pains. No more sleeping in. No longer does the world revolve around me. But all it took was just one look. I looked down upon your precious face and tears came to my eyes. For the rest of my life I will be contented just by looking at you. To see your first smile or the first time you walked. To hear your first word. To know that when you look at me you see your protector. I'm just your mommy. That's just fine with me. For the rest of my life that's just who I want to be.
