lament of a florida poll worker

by marvin d goldfarb - Aquarius

counting and counting till dawn sun begins to shine and i dont even get paid overtime too tired to do anything but i must count another vote votes for gore bush and a footnote who will win will be determined by my little bin who's in the white house who's out and who's in i'm beat and i'm battered but i must count another vote it doesn't matter i'll leave after the next vote

Reason for writing:

i thought it would be interesting to try to see the recount from the poll workers point of view. it was probably grueling boring and tiring to just sit their and count
