School Play

by Newt Newton - Aquarius

The lights hit the stage
Cooling the wooden apron
With their blue gels

High-heeled shoes thud
As we step out of the wings
To weave our spells

All that hard work
Pays off on closing night
We've been through Hell

When the show is over
We come out and take our bows
"Bravo!" the audience yells

Reason for writing:

we just did the musical Hello Dolly at school, and I miss it already! It was really hard to put together because our department is small, but the experience was way worth it
