the other side of left

by heratio sprink - Gemini

sitting there in class
I see her
saw her last saturday going in that door
the one the other side of left
after the show at Bernie's at the party at
Craig's walking in that door
the one on the other side of left

and now here she is
sitting in her desk wearing a pink sweater
with tight black pants
tennis shoes and her hair pulled back
chewing gum and taking notes in her kitty cat spiral
but I saw her go in that room
last saturday after the show
that room
the one on the other side of left.

I know what goes on in that room

I've been there.

I wonder what her parents would say?
Her friends?
The boyfriend back home?
I wonder what a lot of people would say if they knew.

She half turns, sees me out of the corner of her eye...
smiles unsteadily, full of passion-guilt.

looks back to her notes.

I saw her last saturday
walking into that room
the one on the other side of left

and i followed her in.
