My Perfect Body

by Heather Williams - Libra

You lied when you said
That my body is perfect in every way
No, I am not fat
I am not skinny either
I don't have the greatest hair
But curly hair is sometimes cool
From afar I am a normal 18 year old girl
You missed my arms
You really overlooked my left arm
You know I am left-handed right?
You missed the scars
You missed the scabs
You even missed the red lines
On my wrist today
Maybe if I would have rolled up my sleeves
And taken off the band-aid you would see
That I am by no means perfect
