The prick of the needle, the flow of the blood The rush of the liquid as you drop to the floor Your life flashes befor your eyes And all you see is hate and lies Who, you wonder did this to you? I can answer that, it was all you You've made the choices in your life Now it's time to pay the price The pain you caused all around Will now come back and bring you down You chased that dragon for so many years Now it's brought your biggest fear So as you lie on the floor this one last time You ask for forgiveness and wonder why After all the battles that you fought How this time the dragon won Once the news has gone around That the dragon brought you down Don't you worry we won't cry as you lay there and you die We'll just be gratefull and so will you Your pain is all gone now it's over for you!
Reason for writing:
I wrote this poem for my father Edward Thomsom who has been chasing the dragon for as long as I can remember. He has ruined many lives in his chase and I just want him to know he has really lost everything important in life.
