NIGHT Wish away as the willows weep. Drift today to the world we sleep. Dreams within dreams come to mind. Floating above this world grown blind. Fantasy and desire waltz in tune. Smiles in seductions beneath a full moon. Starlight enhances the glow of their need. Lust pulls them closer in desires greed. Pulled from a world that once cared, To dance and feel more than they dared. Windswept and unkept they smile as one, As the world they know ravels undone. Yesterday she was a high school teacher. Yesterday he was a protestant church preacher. They sweat and strain together to fill an empty void. Knowing and fearing that their world maybe destroyed. The happiness found in each others eyes, Drowns the world secretly despised. Locked together in passionate embrace, They ignore the cries of the human race. Disheartening cries of yesterdays tears. Forgotten in yearning of promising years. MOURNING Now awoken by sunsoaked beams. They have forgotten yesterdays dreams. Killed are the wants of yesternight. Morning drowned the fires that did ignite. Memories do cherish but will entomb, As they sadly return to yesterdays gloom.
