The Man of My Dreams

by Mary Lord DeGrood - Leo

As I lay here, in my bed
A voice enters, into my head
To sleep, he summoned me to try
I couldn't move, I couldn't reply

Softly, he tells of wonderful things
And all the joys and pleasures he'll bring
Our bodies; our souls soon to become
Together; forever, we'll be as one

In my world, he did embark
To see him, I couldn't, for it was too dark
I tried to reach out; I wanted to feel
Was this a dream, or is it real
