My palms are starting to sweat, And I can hardly breathe. The mood has already been set. Fear is wrapped around me like a wreathe. Looking at you tonight, With your handsome face, Eases some of my fright. All I want is you to hold me in an embrace. I know the time is now, There must be another way to say it. I'll get through this somehow. All the candles in the house are lit. I take one in my hand, But your love outshines the light. It is time to spread it all over the land. I'll yell it with all of my might. While holding your strong hand in mine, Nervously, I try to continue. Now i have no reason to whine. I can proudly say I LOVE YOU!
Reason for writing:
I wrote this poem about a guy I was with that made no sense but I loved him. I just had a hard time expressing it.
