Stoplight We sat at the signal Talked on our cells She was in the car beside me But we had a lot to say And I love hearing her voice; So smooth yet rusty, And the way her lips bend When she goes through vowels… I asked with great interest About her day, It was fine, she said, But she could not wait to get home, Cuddle on the floor By the fire place Put in our favorite slow jams CD And read her new book to me. I love the way she thinks… She has the softest brown hair Shoulder length, straight and full, I love the way it tickles my face When lying next to her… Oh, there is that lips bend again!… I love moments like this, Everything seems like a dream. The light is green now, And the world is allowed To start back up, Time to turn left And watch in my rear view As embarks in a different direction, A different life, And a different mans poem.
