Clouds In Heaven

by Heather Williams - Libra

Standing in the frozen lot
The cold air was biting at my ears
I buried my face and cried
In an instant I was forced to say goodbye
To my best friend
Who I doubt I will ever see again
My heart was shaky until you spoke
"You know I'll be back, right?"
And it seemed okay
Even in life if I don't see you again
Maybe I'll see you on the clouds in heaven

Reason for writing:

My friend leaves for a minimum of five months with no visits. It's not a prison, but it might as well be.
