I'm Still Here

by Phil Yarborough - Aquarius

I'm all around you now,
Those people we both have in common,
They respect me,
But spit on your name,
And your still laughing,
Laughing me down the drain,
That's where i see my mind falling from me,
Along with my money, sanity, sense.

But I'm still here,
Although staggering slightly,
Watching the fights with front row seats,
Watching the drugs which my friends eat,
Keeping it safe when i'm a danger to myself,
It's not the way forward,
But the roads ruff and ready,
As are we.

Shots till four,
Cans at ten,
Tomorrow never came,
The sticky end was yesterday,
But it's all right

Why am I here?
Waking up in my bed,
Alone,
Without her... which could be anyone,
But with a forced smile on my face,
And a glass of vod by my head,
Its gone now, with today, without a trace,
But I'll always be here.
