Hanging Tree

by Seth - Pisces

There is a disease that sweeps inside us both
and the color of your eyes now seems so remote.
I haven't heard you laugh for so long,
it makes me wonder how things turned out so wrong.
The beauty of our love has embraced old age
and the currents that united us now break seperate ways.
If you don't think that you are in love with me
then step out of the shade of my hanging tree.
Our oceans and hands have long been crossed,
and now I face the darkness and enter the lost.
A soft kiss goodbye almost brings back the light,
but the silence in the air tells us both not to fight.

Reason for writing:

    thanks
