Money Can Buy Me Love

by Erica Hughes - Libra

You poor poor man,
what can you do for me?
I dont open my heart to dreams.
You say you love me, and offer me your heart,
But love can only do so many things,
to make the heart feel right,
Your love don't buy this girl diamond rings,
or keep a roof over my head at night.
Love is just a silly dream,
for people who don't want to be alone.
All there is, its lots of heartbreak,
so sad, but you must move on,
because when my pocket's are full,
and material possessions abundant,
money can do no wrong.

Money can buy me love,
Money can heal my pain.
Money can fulfill my fancy dreams,
money won't hurt me again.

Love can only bring me tears,
does love even love at all?
I can see money, and feel it honey,
if you place it on my palm.

Im not lonely,
You have nothing, but love to give,
and a little of that potent heartache,
but you can make it all right with me,
from all the money I plan to take.

Money can buy me love.
Money can ease my pain.
I'm not sad, and I'm not lonely,
money doesn't hurt again.

Money can buy me love.
You can only take away my heart,
I said I want things, that I can see,
just in case you decide to depart.
You don't have much, of anything to give,
you poor little man,
so if you can just move out of my light my dear,
I hope you understand.

Money can ease my pain,
when its all I can think of,
I'm not lonely, little man,
because, money-can-buy-me-love.
