Tears On The Sand By: Jeffrey Lazaro Today is the day that a sad memory comes upon my mind. This day is the same day when my loving heart became unkind. Along this dark cold beach full of tearful memories. A story of which was a great romance comes alive. This was the day when a great love was torn apart. This tale tells of a love that could never die. It is about two lovers who’s hearts were one of a kind. Every evening our eyes would brighten in the setting sun. While sitting on the warm sandy beach that resembled our vows. Then one evening news from my love strikes my heart cold. For what she told me was news of something that should have never been told. She tells me that she must part from our love. For she must care for her father who was ill and far. So with one night left again, we looked at the stars. While tears of love slowly falls on the sand. And a kiss that meant we will love again.
Reason for writing:
I wrote this poem during a time when I was feeling what it would be like to lose someone like that.
