The lies start to unravel, The cracks start to show. She sobs in her pillow, Crying, "Oh, dear God, no." When he didn't come home, She worried all night. He said he was working, and she said, "All right." Late the next morning, He finally arrived. His new explanation Seemed somewhat contrived. His story had faltered And started to change. He stayed with his brother? That sounded so strange. But she tried very hard To ignore her suspicion. She acted as usual; She had found her new mission. She wanted to know Where he was that whole night. She first called his brother, and explained her plight. Just as she thought, The brother denied Knowing where he had been, But she just shrugged, "I tried." She forgot all about it, and went on her way. The next time she remembered Was on laundry day. Into his hamper She started to reach When she smelled something funny - Was that chlorine bleach? His pants and his boxers Gave off a strange smell, And having been a lifegaurd, She knew it too well. But why would his underwear Smell like a pool? For some unknown reason, she felt like a fool. Then, just like before, She forgot it, until One day with the mail Came the credit card bill. What she saw explained everything, And her tears did compel: He had charged on the card A jacuzzi hotel. She knew right away That her love must be cheating. And just for a moment, Her heart ceased it's beating. As the lies did unravel And the cracks started to show, She now sobs to her pillow Crying, "Oh, dear God, no."Birth sign: Aries
