my ashtay went astray i gave up my pipe today im adding years to my life removing alot of my strife i gave up my pipe today
Reason for writing:
the zone poetry site wanted poems about social issues. one of them was smoking. most other poets wrote about cigarette smoking but i smoked a pipe from 1958 till 1977. so i wrote about that.
