AGONY
You have left us all in sorrow and grief
By going away from us after a time so brief
Your tinkling laughter still rings in my ears
Your sad departure fills my eyes with tears
I can still feel you cuddled up in my arms
Never can I forget your beauty and charms
I can smell your lingering presence
Which for me is life - its essence
Reason for writing:
This poem is in memory of my neighbour's one year old daughter who left us all. She was a source of joy for us when she was alive.
