she lives in an oversize body no one seems to understand they point and laugh just to tease do they ever consider her feelings it happen long ago her father had died eating was the only way she could hide the pain, food helped heal it was the only way she could deal You stare and you laugh but do you ever stop to realize what you are doing to her self esteem and pride have another donut fat cow those are the harsh words you speak or how bout wide load, or fatty, pig go on a diet and you wont be so big do you ever consider that maybe its not her fault she goes home and cries, her pride is shattered she looks in the mirror and gags at her image she is fat what a shame boys wont ask her out cause they think she is gross nasty and full of rolls she tries to feel good about herself puts on a pretty dress and fixes her hair, a little bit of perfume does she get a compliments no she gets more put downs girl your belly is too fat for the gown no one understands how she feels whats running through her mind she sits in the bathroom alone at night she heard about this girl who lost twenty pounds in a week became beautiful and raised her self esteem all the boys wanted to go out with her the lady on the television says that thin is in and all the newest fashions are size three all these things are running through her head she heard of this thing called bulemia heard that it could make her beautiful all she had to do was eat alot and throw up so she stuffed her face at dinner walked into the bathroom and sat down on the floor stared at the pictures of the models and jammed her finger down her throat that night she went to sleep with a smile on her face this would be her little secret and when she was thin enough the world will be shock she too will be beautiful like the models in the magazine sadly enough she wasnt lucky or as tough The little fat girl died a day before she turned thirteen
Reason for writing:
i wrote this because television and magazines and society make being beautiful such an important issue..they can say be yourself and love you for you yet turn around and put those waifish models in teen magazines and say this is how you need to look, i wrote this about my next door neighbor she was 12 and 175 pounds a very talented writer and artist but no one focused on that, she became obsessed with losing weight so obsessed that it drove her to death..its really sad
