Come dance with me, Hear the orchestra play, A sensual song, While our minds drift away. With you pressed against me, I feel so aware, Of your breath on my cheek, The smell of your hair. Come dance with me, I'll bring my lips near, Then whisper the words, Of our song in your ear. Sway to the music, While my hands softly grip, The small of your back, And the curve of your hip. Come dance with me, With our fingers entwined, The warmth of your skin, Your thighs pressed to mine. A promise of passion, If our bodies could speak, Murmur excitment, As we dance cheek to cheek. Come dance with me, While hands gently caress, The softness of you, Beneath the silk of your dress. My excitment and passion, I'm sure you'll agree, Becomes so apparent, When you dance with me.
Reason for writing:
There is nothing more beautiful than the dance of two lovers. The perfect way to express the intimacy between two lovers is with poetry. This is a tribute to my wife and lover. My partner of 33 years in marriage, dance and in life.
