Fishing For Your Dreams By: Ann M. Hampton Flowers in the trees; Fish in the water below. Birds in the sky; Clouds are too. Man fishing from the bank (of dreams) To make his dreams come true, Fustrated at the fish he can't catch. The grass at his feet Holds his fears in the form of snakes. He moves quickly to the other side To finish his dream of fishing, For he's fishing for his dreams Hoping that they won't get away. He catches his dream Even though it was a fight; He quickly releases his dream Hoping his dreams will grow. They aren't his to take right now, For they both have to grow. But one day, everyone will know When his dreams are fulfilled.
Reason for writing:
To everyone...may all your dreams come true.
The inspiration for this poem came from watching my husband fish.
