My heart is racing, at the speed of light. As I feel myself falling, for this beauty in site. I can’t find the resistance, to fight these feelings deep inside. All I want is her acceptance, to be, within her life. I try to talk, to grab her attention, but the words I speak, are dead in sound. I try to wave, to show reaction, but Strength I had, is no where found. My thoughts cry out, respond at once, but instead the body, remains at stance. There she goes, my one last chance, as I slowly take, that final glance. Drowning eyes, from gathering tears, the legs grow weak, to the ground they kneel. I feel the tremble, from the growing fears, I need her love, to help me heal. Her footsteps heard, now lightly fading, once her image, now a memory. I scream for help within the crying, Oh Please God, take me out, of all this misery. The body awakens to the early morning, the pillow wet, where tears went pouring. And to my side, she lays there staring, it’s all ok, your only dreaming.
Reason for writing:
You should take a moment and let your loved ones know, how much you love them.
In this poem, the husband, is having a nightmare about his wife. He loves her so much, but he's not able to show his sensitive emotions. As he goes through out the dream, she's laying there listening to him. Inside of his dream, he thinks she, cannot see him, he thinks she cannot hear him. He doesn't want to lose his chance of talking to her, but as his body remains froze, she continues to walk, eventually fading away in the distance. But the entire time that he's dreaming this, she's lying there awake listening to him.
