Daddy
Daddy what has happened,
We are drifting far apart.
Daddy I don't know what to do,
But something's missing from my heart.
Daddy we used to be so close,
And now I don't know what to do,
Because Daddy I really miss you,
And I know you miss me too.
Daddy we have to fix this,
And make it like it used to be.
Let's make everything alright,
Let's make it you and me.
Daddy I know I have done some things,
That have made you really mad.
And we both have said some things,
To make each other sad.
Daddy I know you say I'm mean,
And I say that you are too.
But Daddy, behind all of this meaness,
I really do love you.
Reason for writing:
I wrote this poem for my daddy because I miss how close we used to be. He has always been my favorite person in this world, and now we aren't getting along.
