Ladies From Philadelphia

by Stuart Logan - Sagittarius

Ladies From Philadelphia

Birds of the night, come fly away
beautiful girls, from the USA
in London town, you glided down
and all could hear your pretty sound

Luck or chance, when I first met you
amazing looks, possessed by few
and on the Thames, in England fair
were Ladies From, Philadelphia

Stars and stripes, carry me away
follow my heart, to the USA
jet plane or, cruise liner to
Ladies From, Philadelphia

It will live with me, on that special day
we drank a toast, at the Hard Rock Cafe
and all the people in that room
were American, on that afternoon

Across the sea, my love I send
all good things, must come to an end
those latin looks, with jet black hair
were Ladies From, Philadelphia

It does'nt have to be, the fourth of July
to celebrate and light up, Philadelphia's sky
you need a little lovin, and a sweet guitar
and you could be in heaven, or Philadelphia
raise your flag America
to Ladies From Philadelphia
