***Missing Granpa*** The day you died, and said good-bye, numerous tears fell from my eyes. The soft color soon turned, to a seemingly grey. With the endless flow of tears, I looked away. Knowing this was my last chance, to look at you. The best qualities came out, through and through. It's hard to even imagine us apart. With these deep emotions of pain, I hold in my heart. But knowing we'll be united, soon one day, all the pain and anger will slowly drift away. As they lowered your casket, deep in your grave..... I stared at your body, not knowing what to say. I took a long, last silent glance, and with tears in my eyes, I finally said good-bye..... I MISS YOU GRANPA!!!.....
Reason for writing:
This poem is dedicated in loving memory of my grandfather, who died November 3, 1992. "We might be apart... but together in the heart"....
