Grocery Store Encounter

by Heather Williams - Libra

I left the rave early
Just to go home and sleep
I passed the store on the way home
I wasn't hunry
There was already an iced tea in my car
With only a fourth of an inch missing
But I had to see his eyes
So we walked around the store
For 20 minutes talking about pot and what was said
About me on Sunday and your response was a lie
The first lie that made my heart happy
You lightly made fun of me for a lot of things
I purchased Mexican rice and a sweetened no lemon tea
You put it in one bag, then another, then another
And then yet another
Told me you should get back to work
"I'll see you tomorrow."
