 Small Teeth / New Orleans

by Who? (an alias) - Virgo

small teeth
little whitish wreath
hanging from a string
beneath
the palm reader's
double chin

small flowered heath
pours shadows
around our feet
onto the concrete
as I slouch in my seat
and cross my legs
discreetly

the scent of raw meat
saunters down
the brown
brick street
with a cocky percussive swagger
in the savory heat
of New Orleans'
French Quarter

small teeth
little whitish wreath

he spreads three cards
neatly
in a line
and points to Death

"you'll begin a new chapter in life
and greet
it amiably"
