There is death among us in ways we do not know Passing us by from day-to-day Waiting for someone to make the wrong move A victim it will surely slay There is death among us in ways we do not see Naturally blind as a newborn at birth When it finally comes time for you to go You start to appreciate what life is worth There is death among us in ways we fear most By way of drugs, guns, and disease If we continue to use these destructive weapons Mankind as we know it will cease
