Wrap It Up Sometimes the gifts that I receive Into the trash I want to heave Shirts with styles I won’t wear Or ties so ugly people stare Gadgets that I’ll never use And why they’re given does confuse They say what counts here is the thought And not the gift the person bought But I say that’s not really so Since gifts reflect the love you show Not just a token given when An occasion says you have to then So I have to wonder if it’s me A person strange that others see For all the gifts that I obtain Seem purchased by a scatterbrain So what to do with each odd thing Not one of which does joy it bring So I’ll wrap them with a pretty bow And re-gift them to all I knowBirth sign: Virgo
