Elusive Love

by phillip bligh - Leo

The way love floats on the fall wind
an ascending leaf in random spirals
The way the calm breaks with the first
crack of thunder the second our hearts touch
   for moments brief or fleeting
do somehow find there way to me
will grace this life with presence
   and forever change it's meaning.

   now life's promise
   of a season soon return's,
   with new possabilities
   of hopes or dreams, that
   have yet to come.

love's new buds on barren branches
   who's ragged stems turn to
   green from gray.
   The flower smiles are blooming
   bringing colors way.
Here then gone, here then gone
   but never far way.

Reason for writing:

This poem was inspired by love of course!
And the way it always seems to slip through
my fingers.
