Collapse

by Jessica Hoppus - Gemini

Despite domestic woes
Relaxed restrictions
A wave of crimes
Preceded death
Innocence ended
Age of a moral crisis
But out of the blue
Living his draem
Working on reform efforts
Standing on top of the world
King for a day
A look back at a different era
Long, long ago
Young at heart
Now no more
All new expectations
Marriage for better or worse
Needs a bigger house
Work to provide for his children
Helping the poor
We can't make a difference
He can
He is the hero
Redefined faith
Hurt feelings
Liberal image
Temptation: All the time an uphill struggle
Morale could suffer
Dream of less agression
Ready to drop
Approaching the end
A look at life
Rain buries the past
Legacy lives on

Reason for writing:

Realizing that life is full of failure and that there are a selected few that can make a difference. But as for the rest of us, we never will.
