and now, the truth

by Antwan Fields - Aries

*my name is unimportant. but what im about to say is very important> so listen up...*

now please, swear on a stack of bibles this high
that what you are about to say is not a lie
no embellishments, no improvise
because jail is where you'll be if he dies
you now take offense to something i say
does that mean im not gonna say it anyway??
the truth hurts YOU, but im going to shrug it off
did i mention that im reminded that when i cough
a charge goes into my 230-pounds, and i am energized
i don't have to deal with it, but your confidence dies
an outlet of creativity, first to criticize out of fears
that you'll get it right back, and burst into tears
the real truth is that you don't understand
nor do you even try to, you take it in hand
try to crush a dream that isn't really yours to do so
and when it happens to you, don't you cry tears of woe??
so the truth is instead of doing bad with a smile thats loud
try to have some sense, and make mama proud.
