Our paths once crossed long ago although I dont remember exactly but I do know so We were two different creatures looking for the exact same thing I was a little blue bird with a broken wing hiding from love and searching for healing you were a big strong eagle soaring high above in the sky lonliness and dispair had filled your heart but you never allowed it to show not you , you were the creature of strength You noticed my pain and decided to fly down to me you found love beyond the pain that the little blue bird hid so well I was weak and fragile not all like you who stood above all the others with beauty , grace and the strength of a thousand horses I slumped down in my nest to hide my pain and sorrow not wanting you to see me My soul quivered and my heart ached but you wouldnt let me shut you out you placed your beak on my broken wing and healed it with one touch one touch and I was once again strong with a mended wing i was ready to fly again I opened up my wings and soared through the heavens along side of you a strapping soulful eagle look beyond the obvious and found love in a most unlikely place on the wings of a bluebird
Reason for writing:
I compared myself to a helpless blue bird because at the time when i wrote this poem my life was a disaster I was having some major problems...It may appear that Im talking about a boyfriend but Im not I'm talking about my best friend he was there for me when I needed strength and love..he was a strong kindered spirit who showed me how to love again :)
