Conscience

by Chritty - Aries

Trapped in a little box to clear our shame
our conscience began to drive us insane
Larry said Betty did it
But Betty said Hank did it
Tommy could care less
Mandy said she was sorry though she should have never gotten herself in this mess
Betty felt guilty but she didn’t know why
Jason poked at his lazy eye
I chewed on my thumbnail and smiled
Hank’s palms where sweaty
She giggled nervously poor Betty
beads of perspiration rolled down Mandy's back
She couldn’t sit still
Tommy could care less
I smiled and hummed
Betty tensed up and wanted to leave
Hank’s voice was squeaky and he had to pee
Jason poked his lazy eye
Larry tapped his pencil on the desk
Mandy stared at the clock
Hank swore that the beating of his heart had stopped
Mandy was praying to God
for forgiveness she said she would never do it again
She said it was Hank's idea she didnt want to give him head
She slapped him on the arm and said his wife was going to kill them
Hank went to the restroom again
Betty promised to return the money that she found
and Tommy didnt make a sound
Jason just poked at his lazy eye
Larry tugged at his hair and said oh God Why
Mandy wanted to give me head it wasnt my idea
Please dont tell my wife
I'll never do it again
Stuck in this little box we were clearing our conscience
when all else was done
I was just curious when should i tell them im the guilty one
