""The Calm""

by sean morgan - Libra

With us all banded toghether a ray of light shines from above.
The closer we grip the brighter the light.
Is this a sign of things to come?
Or is this something we have done?
The rain has all gone away, now the sorrow has disappered.
Stand up! Look at what we have done.
We said no to sorrow and pity.
Stand up! And be counted.
For all the good things thay you have done.

Reason for writing:

Looking back on ones life we tend to just see the negative things we have accomplished. We as humans very rarely look at all the positive things we have done in our lives. It is very easy to dwell on the negtive since it is so easy to do, we remember all the bad things because they are bad, we forget the good things because we think we are the only good person in the world, and we don't want to tell the world how much better we are than the next person.
