Our First Kiss

by NR - Cancer

We would be sitting outside, right under the moonlight gate
Time would be just perfect, not too soon nor too late
The stars would shine with all their might upon your pretty face
Your tender eyes looking into mine surrounding me with grace

I’d touch your face and pat you cheek, and tell you that I love you
I’d gaze into your beautiful eyes just like when I dream about you
I would then gently take your hand and told you you’re my all
And then just smile so happily, maybe trying to stall

The moment would draw nearer, my heart would pound so fast
Maybe because I was nervous, or just so happy we’re together at last
You’d then get embarrassed and look away, and I would touch your shoulder
“You are God’s prettiest creation, and I’m only a beholder”

Again I’d pat your beautiful face, then stare into your eyes
It would’ve happened just like that, almost a surprise
Our heads would draw nearer, I’d feel your lovely smell
Our lips would meet in a heavenly kiss, filled with joy and love as well

That’s the way I see and dream it, so many times
I would be so happy, my heart would sing as chimes
I guess our first kiss is a thing you’ll never see
Why God? Why won’t it ever happen? Why can’t it be????

Reason for writing:

    Unreturned love :-(
