Stay With Me

by NR - Cancer

You always see what I don’t see
Saying we are not meant to be
Together or not, I’ll still feel free
Just as long as you stay with me

So stay with me and whisper charms
Let me hold you in my arms
Please don’t let anything keep us apart
Try to see what’s in my burning heart

I’m one of those who’ll never leave
Because without you I just can’t breathe
I’m not a hater, I’m not your foe
I’m just a friend who doesn’t know

I see you walking sweet and sure
Without knowing that you hold the cure
I see you alive, you don’t need me
You’re so strong and you’re already free

I don’t think you quite understand
When my heart sings to you like a band
It sings with tears and agony
It sings “Don’t go, please stay with me”

It sings like a baby crying in bed
Like a wounded soldier almost dead
With misery and sadness it is filled
And without you it cannot be healed

Where are you now? You’re gone forever
I guess I loved you too much, but wasn’t enough clever
And now, even though you’re gone and can no longer hear or see
My heart is still crying “stay with me”

Reason for writing:

Me and the girl I love became good and close friends since I began to love her about two years ago, sometimes she gets hurt by me and I fear she'll never forgive...
