The Evil Man

by NR - Cancer

My window opens, the wind comes in
Bringing the tale of a newborn sin
Overwhelmed with surprise, I didn’t believe
It came like rain on a summer’s eve

The wind has told me of a man
A wicked soul, a Devil’s fan
A man who with him brings big pain
Creating heartaches and tears like rain

The evil man came from far away
I didn’t want him to come today
“I beg you sir, not to stay
Pack your evil and go away”

But he just laughed with cruelty
“First I’ll have my cup of tea
Maybe eat some, maybe rest
Maybe put your heart in a test”

“Then I shall kill you, evil one!
You’ll do no more as what already been done!
You’ll never hurt, cause pain no more
I’ll be the killer they adore!”

But he just looked at me with surprise
With contempt and laughter in his eyes
“There is no me, you know it’s true
I’m just the hated part of you”

Reason for writing:

We all have that part of us that makes us sometimes hurt people we love.
Unfortunately, I know that side of me too well...
