When I look at all of you

by Desiree Martin - Aquarius

When you all look at me,
I'm not sure what you see
But chances are you aren’t seeing me
Because whatever the stereotype may be
I assure you that it's far from reality

When I used to look at all you, I did it objectively
Always open-mindedly
And, although you may disagree,
At one time I was completely hate-free,

But when the hatred was unleashed in me
Know that it was all of you who held the motherfucken key
And now it has seemed to envelop me
Will this last for eternity?

It's not that you're ego trips have rubbed off on me,
It's because, now, when I look at all you….I completely and utterly despise what I see
You pathetic, immature children, trying to hide your insecurities
To my surprise you all have, somehow, received the gift of invisibility

Reason for writing:

um this is not one of my best poems...but it does express a lot of the feelings that I have been feeling recently
