In the dark

If it was to change for just a moment
 for just a fading dream
I had something to hold on to
 if just a single scene

It's been like this for years
 so many I forgot
The moments filled with fears
 the only things I've got

I thought I'd come to you at night
 but it's so hard to find my way
 and there are many paths that stray
 in the dark
And all I found was the insight
 that you can't paint your dreams
 on the canvas of reality

I'm leaving now
 the begin of another journey
 that with the dawn will end
It's late but I believe
 it's not too early
 for a quest against infinity
