Sorrow

by Rebecca Cambron - Leo

Sorrow
I looked into his eyes,
As I searched for lies.
Should I stay or should I follow?
It is becoming so hard to swallow.

Should I stay or should I go?
As I look outside it starts to snow.
As his beautiful silhouette disappears,
He confirms my greatest fears.

He is leaving for good this time;
Leaving me without a dime.
As he whispers the words good-bye,
I am silent because I fear I will cry.

When the door slams I am tempted to follow,
But my eyes fill with tears and my heart with unregretable sorrow.
