Heaven

by Brian Talmey - Sagittarius

As I watch the streets in the bright summer light. I see the people who just want to fight. They have their weapons both big and small. I wonder if there will ever be peace at all. I try to escape all the screaming and pain. I fear these days will make me insane. I feel gun shots piercing through my skin. I start to find peace within. Now I can't hear and everything's white. Then I see a very bright light. I hear a very familliar call. Coming closer and closer through the white wall. Could it be the girl I've been waiting for? Yes it is her standing at the door. She has wings of gold and a gold halo to. I ask her " Who are you?" She replies " it doesn't matter now just close your eyes" she takes my hand and begins to fly. When I awake again I am in front of a large gate. I open it up and then I wait. A voice calls me saying " can you just wait seven!!?!?!?!" I then realize I must be in heaven.

Reason for writing:

One night I couldn't sleep. So I went down stairs to watch a movie. I ended up falling asleep while watching some war movie and I had a dream that I was in an exotic country watching a war happe and then BOOM a poem was born.
