I thought it was timeless
didn't know it could say that much
yes, it's certain there are moments
words mean more than words
and it seems I just came right
see, I can't go back anymore
the future is consuming all the past
precious memories,
are they worthless as of now
in the gallery the minstrel sings
of things he only knows
so I have to choose
between the red and black
can't there be both?
I guess I'll take
what was taken from me
guess again, no I am not to care
I only had it when I bled
deadly silence pointing back at you
silent death to all the figures stacked up high
and paints your name, no taints your fame
just when it's leaving all for good
the good ones never leave
if you know how to make them stay
can you tell this is
more than just a line
of thousands never seen,
more than just a dime
that fell down inbetween
know you well might know it all
rest on the surface then submerge
only when beneath
you really learn to breathe
