Hey there, can you hear me
don't you see I have to leave
all the time it's been so different
still it feels the same
Walking away with precious moments
to keep our winters warm
Waiting for the future's sun
to hold it in our arms
Slowly the awareness awakens within
these dreams were far too real
for us to see
we could be living them
and answers speak up
for the questions never made
the hours are forgiving
and maybe there'll be years
'til we know what it's like missing
all these gentle fears
sands of time cover paths we never crossed
bury faded hopes beneath
and still the desert grows
tick-tock, hear the clock resound
in your mind it doesn't matter
what's the cost to make a second stay
when a life-time's walls are shattered
it wasn't worth I hear you say
the trouble to get back to this
it wasn't earth if every day
was all the same and none to miss
does it matter when within
something is lost or seems to be
rebuild it and I'll show you
all the meanings left to see
