Close To Heart By: Ann M. Hampton Sometimes I close my eyes and dream of you at night; You're in my arms, I hold you tight. I whisper what you want to hear in your ear; I hold you close to heart. Your picture taunts my memory Because you aren't here. I wish for you to be near; I want you close to heart. One day you promise to return, But my heart is still in pain. My eyes show my discomfort and shed many tears; I want you close to heart. Close to heart, I hold you memory, For as long as it takes for you to return; I'll always hold you-- Close to heart. In thought, word, and action, My love is plain to see. I'll hold you close to heart Until you return to me.
Reason for writing:
To wanting you close to heart.
