Pretty

by Nicole M. - Gemini

Such a pretty little girl
You say to me
With a grin full of teeth.
The naive child that I am
I smile big
At the wolf in front of me.
Such a pretty girl
You say to me
Beautiful silk hair
And you obscenely stroke my cheek
Still grinning
Such a-pretty-little-girl
You say with haulting breaths
Sliding a hand further down
Dragging the smile from my face.
Staring at the mirror
At what a pretty little girl brings
Shamefully hating what I see.
I wish I hadn't been so pretty.
