Faux Happiness

by Nicole M. - Gemini

Joy bubbling in me
Boiling my blood
Smiling so hard it hurts my cheeks
This feels so good.
Being what everyone expects of me
I don't know what's the real one/
Surrounded by the gold
I'm now blinded and can't see.
What everbody envies in me
It's not real
Nothing substantial.
I see the real happiness all around me
But not inside.
