if i called you an enemy and the friend was the same would i lie or would that be game if i was honest and didn't lie would you wish life upon me or would i die would you wash me down and dry me out or would i say i loved you and you'd doubt? what if i said that you were alone? what if i thought you could not be shown? what if i went off and we weren't pals what if i talked to you with nothing but growls? i calm you down, try to make you think but i fail at my job and my heart sinks im trying to make you understand that youre my friend, i wanna hold your hand i wish that in the picture that we took that you didn't look sad or look so shook it comes to mind that you're very mad so i start to argue cause i feel bad what if i thought that you weren't listening? what if you looked and my eyes were glistening? what if for us there was no turning back? what if i thought that our friendship was wack? and all the world is a dancer no way to think they have an answer they like to think they've done all right they all seemed to have lost sight answer all of your Q&A nothing to do and none to say its time to scrape away the mud but all we find is our mingled blood all the world gives a good sigh at the same time, they have a good cry what if i was your only friend? what if i was at your hand at the end? what if you could understand my growing fear? what if we refused to talk into our ears? what if i called for the lie of my eye? what if we're not in the same place when we die?? what if, what if, what if, what if, what if I... what if, what if, what if, what if I... what if, what if, what if, what if I... what if, what if, what if, what if I... wasn't your friend?
Reason for writing:
with most of my poems, i get a song's music in my head. i don't plagerize the songs, the beat is just when i think a poem should be written a certain way. like for example, the
poem above is written to Creed's "What If?" (from scream 3).
however, ALMOST ALL of my poetry is for real.
